~Swimming Fools~

We spend many blazing hot arizona mornings out by the pool. It is our favorite place to cool off, and have fun. Wow do these boys love to swim. Jayden and Kodiak (our dog) are best buds and one of their favorite activities is swimming. They both love to jump in and swim laps. I am still trying to decide who is better at the jumping in.....they both get points for style. I am so glad they have so much fun together and I am glad Jayden is growing up with his pal.

Jayden Starts Preschool.....I can't believe it!!!

Today August 10th was Jayden's 1st day of preschool. He has been waiting for this day for at least 6 months. Jayden loves to learn and couldn't wait to be big enough to go to "school". He took his LSU football helmet for show and tell and told me the class clapped for him when he showed it. I am so proud of Jayden for being such a good boy and he is always trying to be a good example to his little sister.
He wants me to write that he can do a front flip on the trampoline (he can almost land it) and he loves to do belly flops into the pool. He has become such a good swimmer and can from end to end of our pool!!! We think he is awesome. Love you Jay!!!!! Here are some pics of his first day, since I got a new memory card.

August 2nd......Happy Anniversary Babe!!!

Wayland and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on August 2nd. We chose to do another staycation as we like to call them here in AZ. We headed up to Scottsdale to the McCormick Ranch Resort. My Mom came to town to watch the kids for us so we were able to get away for a couple of days and nights. Thanks Mom!!!! The kids love when Grandma comes to town because they get lots of goodies that Mom doesn't give!!!!!
Our weekend was so fun. We walked the mall, hung by the pool, ate at the most delicious place in the valley Donovans, went canoeing and just spent time together!!! I truly believe we need these types of weekends with are crazy life. I always feel like we are more in love when we return. It makes me realize how lucky we are to have each other and the family and life we have created. I love you Way!!!!!.....Sorry no pics they were on the eaten memory card....darn it!!!

June/July

I am trying to remember all of the things we did in June and July, but it all went so fast but here is a little blerb of life. We went to LA/Orange County for a weekend. We saw family, watched a soccer team Wayland trains play in a tournament and Wayland took the kids to the beach....they had a blast. From LA my sisters, mom and I head up the coast to Santa Barbara where we rented a beach house for my Mom's 60th birthday. What a blast!!! It was so beautiful and the weather was great. While we were there we: did hot room yoga, relaxed, read books, went bike riding, shopped, ate, laid in the sand at the beach, relaxed, and ate some more. It was a great retreat and so fun to spend time with just the girls, but boy did I miss Wayland and the kids.

Then a couple of weeks ago I had the chance to meet some of the cast from my FAVORITE show it is actually the only show I watch really.......THE BIGGEST LOSER!!!! Felipe, Sione, Ali (the winner from the season before)and her mom Betty Sue were at the Barney Family Sports Complex participating in the Cardinals/Duce Lautui football camp. This is the sports complex where Wayland trains so we were invited to be there. It was so awesome to meet these people who are an inspiration to me and so many other people. They were so nice and I even took pictures with all of them......it was great.

That was the excitement of June/July besides all the swimming, late night trampoline jumping and long walks in the scortching heat with Way, the kids and Kodiak. Life is great!!!!!

By the way the one picture on this post will explain why I have no pictures of any of these events. This is what a memory card looks like when it gets fed to the dog by your 1 year old who feeds everything to the dog. Isn't he a lucky guy!!!!

Aren't they so CUTE!!!!!

Pics of the haircut

here are the pics of the haircut......crazy huh?

The big Catch Up

Ok so I did a big catch up. I posted like 6 posts tonight so hopefully you will scroll down and check out what we have been up to the last couple of months.

Jayden's BIG HAIRCUT

The day has finally come....the day Jayden has been begging for for a month.....he got a haircut. Jayden has been asking me for the last month to shave his head. I don't know why, but I just keep telling him no. Poor kid. He has so much hair and it is always in his way, when he is swimming, riding his bike, jumping on the tramp. You name it no matter what he is doing he says his hair is in his way. So reluctantly on this Father's day I let Wayland shave his head. I seriously felt sick the entire time I was watching this happen, but the boys (way and Jay) were loving it. Well, needless to say all those beautiful curls are gone and he loves it. And believe it or not I do too. I forgot how handsome he was. I can now see his beautiful green eyes, and of course I know it will grow back!!! For some reason I cant get the pics to load but I will try again tomorrow......I promise I will get them on here they are great!!!

Oneway Sports Football Camp

June 4, 5, 6 Wayland held his 1st all position youth football camp. It has always been Wayland's dream to host his own camp since he is always coaching at other camps like LSU. So about a year ago he decided it was time to start planning it. He has worked so hard and the hard work paid off as the camp was a great success. He flew in coaches from CA and had some help from some of ASU's top players. Over all I think the 62 kids who attended had a blast and learned a lot which is what it is all about. Good job Way I am so proud of you!!! Thank you to everyone who helped us to make this camp happen especially the coaches who all worked so hard. You guys are the best!!!!

Jayden My Wakeboarder

There is nothing in this world Jayden wants to do more then wakeboard. He is still a little too young to do it behind the boat so he is always wanting to board in the pool. I am so amazed at his balance and coordination. He is going to be a studd wakeboarder someday....just like his daddy!!!

Ally's B-Day Weekend at the Phoenician

We spent my 27th birthday weekend at the most amazing resort in Scottsdale. Wayland and I enjoyed the 1st night by ourselves and then the kids and our sitter Jessica joined us the 2nd night. We all had a blast. It is so much fun to play together. The kids love to swim and this is a great place to visit but stay in town. Here are a few pics from the fun weekend.

Trips to Vegas and CA

In the end of April and then the first week of May we made a couple of quick trips. We headed to vegas to see Way's Grandad and take the kids to Circus Circus. We had a blast, Jayden loved Circus Circus besides the big clown when we first pulled up. He told me he did not like that guy and he wanted to "punch him in the nose".

The trip to CA was just Way and I, we went to a high school friend of Wayland's (Micheala) wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and so nice to get away. Thank you to our friends for watching the kids and to Robbie for treating us to the amazing hotel room!! Here are a few pics from both those weekends!

The MOVE to the NEW OLD house

So we moved. I know it was out of nowhere. Well, not really out of no where. Our house had been on the market for 1 month or so and it sold, the crazy part is the buyers wanted a 2 week close. Yes, that means I had 2 weeks to pack up 3500 sq. ft. and move it to the old house (the house we moved from originally but have been renting out for the last 2 years). Oh did I mention the old house is 1876 sq. ft. How the heck do I make a down size like that when we have added 1 human being, 1 dog, and about a million things to our life to fill that huge house? I did it mainly with the help of my lovely sister Barbie. What would I do without her? She helped me like you would not believe. I am not a great de-clutterer, but man alive she is a pro. Now here we sit comfortably in our 1876 sq. ft. with the wonderful feeling that this is where we need to be. We do not need things or a big house to be happy. We need simplicity (which those of you who know our crazy life know it is far from simple), but it is nice to come home to a much simpler place, a place I can manage to keep clean between 2 kids, a dog, a cat, a job, hitting lessons, boot camps, runs, and all the other things we have on our plate. It is so nice to be home and feel at home!!! We love this house and this neighborhood, it has so many wonderful memories, and there are many more to come!!!!

P.S. I promise I am going to post more often, the kids are growing so fast and I want to share it with you!!!!

He is 30.....and he survived!!!

So on February 20th Wayland officially turned 30 years old, and the world did not come to an end. Wayland has been talking about his 30th birthday since the day he turned 25. All he ever said was "When I turn 30 I am not even going to get out of bed!" or things like, "30 is so old". Well the day arrived and he got out of bed. The day started out with some business meetings over at Barney's. And then the day continued with some much needed wakeboarding. Wayland is a stud wakeboarder and he truly loves it, so I am so glad he was able to do that on his birthday. Then the fun began. I had been planning this day for weeks. It started with the ring of the doorbell at 5pm sharp. Wayland opened up the door to find a black expedition limo sitting in front of our house. It was filled with balloons, water, sodas, sparkling cider, and was eventually full of our best friends. We climbed in and the adventure began (did I mention Wayland had no clue what we were going to be doing so it was kind of a rush for all of us). So after we picked up our friends we headed out to Scottsdale to the Pink Pony restaurant where we enjoyed a quick and delicious dinner and then we were off to an improv comedy club called Jesters. This place was awesome. My sister knows the owners so she informed them before hand that it was Way's birthday and they love to pick on people who celebrate their birthdays there. So when they were wishing people happy birthday they began to ask Way a few questions about what he does for a living and for fun and our friend Lincoln spoke up as well so all of a sudden he was thrown in the mix also. So the host asked the comedians to make-up a dream that Wayland would have, and boy did they take that and run with it. They made fun of soils testing and had a ball making fun of wakeboarders. The funniest part was two comedians pretending to be Way and Lincoln wakeboarding and they just kept yelling at each other "you're AWESOME" and the other would yell back, "No you're AWESOME". It was hilarious because it really reminded us of how they are, and for the rest of the night the comedians brought Wayland or that line "no you're awesome" up in almost all of their skits. It was so funny and we are all still saying that line to each other it is great!!! After the comedy club we headed back to the QC enjoying the high life in the limo!!!! It was such a fun night and I am so glad the night went so well and thank you to all of our AWESOME friends who made Wayland's birthday such a blast. I love you Way!!!!! and I am so glad you survived your 30th birthday!!!!
P.S. I have a ton more pics I want to add so I am going to figure out how to do a slideshow this week!!!

The Infirmary

Sorry it has been so long but we have been sick. And when I say sick I mean sick. It all started Monday when Way woke up sneezing, which for those of you who know Wayland that is not a big deal, he is always sneezing. But by Monday night he had the shivers and sweats and I knew we were in for it. I was feeling great Monday, I worked, gave a hitting lesson, and did a 10 mile run. Tuesday morning was a different story the body aches began, but the kids had their well checks at the Dr. so I reluctantly and not very convincingly tried to suck it up. I forced Way out of bed by crying that I couldn't take the kids to the Dr. by myself. So away we went as a family. Well, the kid's Dr. brought more good news, Kyana has a DOUBLE ear infection and Bronchitis. She needs to get on antibiotics and breathing treatments ASAP. So that meant a stop at the pharmacy on the way home. We also decided to make a stop at our DR.'S office on the way home too, where we found out we both had the flu. Not shocking, but also not encouraging!! So at this point Jayden is the only healthy one left. So I made a call to my ANGELIC sister Barbie and filled her in and asked her if she wouldn't mind taking Jayden for us for a couple of days, and thankfully she was here to get him within a couple of hours. I am so blessed to have family close by who are willing to help. So as the week went by we all worked on recovery. I have an awesome visiting teacher who brought me homemade chicken noodle soup, and we tried to rest rejuvenate (or at least Kyana and I did, Wayland is a trooper and went to work). So here we are it is Sunday we are still coughing and now Jayden woke up with 102 degree fever. So the saga continues but I hope once he gets through it we will be all done with this garbage!!! And oh by the way I missed the Ragnar Race I was supposed to run this weekend. I was so bummed but I couldn't even take a deep breath let alone run twenty miles, partially in the middle of the night, with no sleep. But now you know how our week went I am going to finally post about my man's awesome 30th birthday party!!

THIS MAKES IT WORTH IT!!!!

So we got a puppy. I know I haven't blogged about it, but I have been busy POTTY TRAINING it, and it took us a while to figure out his name. Well, we figured out a name, it is Kodiak.
Jayden has been asking for a dog for about 6 months so finally we decided we would get him one for his birthday. It actually worked out that our friends had blue heeler pups for sale, and they were taking them to auction this past weekend so if we wanted one we needed to decide. So needless to say we got him. How can you pass him up he is so cute (even though I am not a dog person and I have never even had one let alone potty trained one).
So the last few days we have trying to get him to go potty outside and honestly he is doing pretty well, only 1 accident today and maybe 3 yesterday, and he has never pooped in the house which is great. But I have been a little frustrated trying to make sure he gets outside and isn't chewing on anything valuable like shoes or Jayden's leg. But as I walked down stairs to get Jayden some lunch I found Jayden and Kodiak asleep on the living room floor together and I thought to myself "that right there makes it all worth it". I know my little boy and that puppy are going to be the best of friends and Kodiak is an awesome addition to our family.

The Birthday Bash

February is a busy month for us. Like I said before everyone in my family besides myself was born in the same month, in fact they are all born in the same week. So Saturday we celebrated Kyana's 1st and Jayden's 3rd birthdays. Wow was it a fun celebration. We had tons of friends, food, and even a bounce house that was enjoyed by many. I even found myself out there breaking my back trying to do back flips. Anyways, Kyana got here 1st dolly (she actually got 3 of them) since she only plays with boy toys up to this point. Jayden got lots of guns, cars, and even some sidewalk chalk, which I know he will enjoy. Kyana made a mess of her cake and Jayden shot nerf bullets at all his friends. Overall, it was a blast as I am sure you can tell by the pictures. I cannot believe how fast they are growing. It makes me sad that time is going so fast, but I am excited to watch them grow and see their personalites emerge. Way and I have the most amazing kids and we are so blessed that we can have them for eternity.

Karate Kid

I have been dying to post these pictures of Jayden in his Karate Uniform....I know it has a name I just can't think of what it is right now. But anyways Jayden started Karate about 2 weeks ago and he is doing awesome. It is amazing how quickly he is learning all the rules and he is creating some good friendships with some of the kids in his class. It is so cute to watch a 2 (almost 3) year old bow on and off the mat and say "YES SIR" to his teacher. I can see already that this is going to be really good for him. I love my Karate Kid!!!!

15 Miles....Are you kidding me?

15 miles yes that is correct. That is how far I ran last night. Wayland came home from boot camp a couple of weeks ago telling me he has some boot campers who run a lot and that I should run with them. Little did I know that they are training for the Boston Marathon, which is in April, so they are pretty high up on the mileage chart. So when I talked to them yesterday they told me they were running 15 or 16 miles and they would love for me to join them. I let them know in advance I probably would not make it the whole way but I would do my best. The farthest I have ever run was two weeks ago in my first half marathon 13.1 mile so I knew 15 would be a jump for me, but I did it. I am so proud of myself, my legs hate me, but I am so excited to have people to run with that will push me. Until next time....

We start here.....

This is my first attempt at blogging. I have followed several blogs for about 6 months now and finally decided I was ready to try it out. So here is my attempt. We are a family of 4 Way and I and our beautiful children Jayden and Kyana. We are a busy family that loves to have fun and be fit. I picked this time to start our blog because February is a special month for us. Way and the kids are all born within 6 days of each other between February 14th and the 20th.....I know what was I thinking. So what better time to introduce my family to the world then the month when we celebrate all of their births. I look forward to sharing our lives with our family members who are far away and whoever else is interested. Enjoy I know I will!!!
